OWL Wrestling donated over 300 Cans of Food to Food Drives in 2011. We started collecting can foods in October 2011 for a total of 5 events.
On average about half of our paying audience take advantage of our Food Drives. At all of the OWL Wrestling Events adults can get6 $2 off of their ticket if they bring in 2 cans of food. On shows that we charge for children 6 to 12 -- they can get in free if they bring in 2 cans of food.
An Example:
Family of 2 adults and 3 children (ages 4yrs old, 7 yrs old, and 9 yr old) with out the can foods would pay --
2 Adults = $14
2 children (6 to 12) = $6
1 child under 5 = free
total = $20 to get into the event
If they would bring in 8 cans of food = 2 for each of the adults and 2 for each of the children. They would then pay only $10 to get into the event as the adults would pay $5 each and all the children would get in free.
Our goal is to get at least 75% of our audience to take advantage of this in 2012. Hope all has a wonderful 2012 and lets help put a stop to poverty in America.
